sound card

im lookin to get a new sound card....any ideas? i dont want to break the bank. i did some research for sound blaster...ie creative. thats what i had in my old comp that got fried. i wouldnt work in this one. so im assuming its fried. if there are better ones out there for the money let me know . creative is about the only card i know. i need it mainly cause my onboard sound sux...it aint loud enough!!! yall know how i like it loud. i dont have a speaker system and all that shit yet so i dont have to connect all that shit too it. mabe one day.

creative is a good name. i had a creative sound blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic in my last computer and i loved it. A couple other names are Diamond, and Turtle Beach but i would go with Creative. just make sure that the card is X-Fi.

unless you are going to use it, don't gett suround sound 7.1. 5.1 should do, and you can get one for around $20 or less.

dont go for the ones with surroudn sound, if you have just 2 speaker setup, go for the cheaper creative ones (i.e. 2.1 sound channels)

I picked up a creative surround sound setup with 5 speakers and a sub woofer for like $50 and it sounds awesome. Even plug my iPOD into it occasionally as well. So you don't need to break the bank to get it loud Smile
