Sorry to hear mother..

Before you do anything, try resetting CMOS.. Usually done by taking out a small round and flat battery on the mainbord (remember to unplug the power cable before doing it) and then try inserting it again.. Works sometimes, otherwise, if it doesn't say a thing I'd say it's the mainboard.

Try taking everything out of it and power it up (cpu, ram, hd's, dvd/cd drives etc) and see what happens, then plug in the cpu, and power up.. Step by step, until you find the quilty part..

well hard to say if its a software or hardware issue.... if it's been running bad for awhile you probably had errors in your bios - registry.

Maybe the errors eventually got so bad it doesnt want to boot... It could also be as simple as a bad power supply. You know the watts? What video card u running?

What I do in a situation like that... I have an extra HD sitting around that I installed windows on. I switch out my hard drive with my backup. If it boots up fine then it's a software problem. If it doesnt it's probably a hardware issue.

video card is a Radeon X1600PRO 512MB ..the video card motherboard and cpu and tower and power supply i bought at a puter show last august who knows it could have been some refurbished junk.but a couple of months back i bought an electric space heater, for the room i have my cpu in and i have been frequently tripping the breaker maybe 1 to many power suges caught up with me,about a week ago the cpu would just suddenly crash and reboot itself

well thats a monster video card and probably sucks monster power. If your card is under powered or overheats it's common for the pc to reboot itself automatically. You might take the power supply out and take it to a local computer parts store (not walmart, something more specialized than that) and I bet they could test it for you. I would have at least a 500w for that kind of setup.

When you boot up do u see anything at first or is it black the whole time?

LOL AYA,
yeah my monitor is just blank Spastic, there is a little icon at top of monitor that keeps blinking between digital and anolog.i guess cause its not getting a signal .the power supply is 500w the video card was my first pci express card so i dont have a old 1 to throw in and test out..i would think if it were the hard drive.i could at least get to the bios, boot up menu.if it were a dead ram stick same thing i get power and fans kick on so cpu should be allright so it either has to be mainboard or graphics i guess.hate to spend $ on parts i dont need, and hate even more to pay for some1 to tell me whats wrong

LoL ive seen pc's nto turn on for some funny as reasons man...like the last pc i built, the power supply like 1/4th broke, jsut enough so that it would give enough power for the mother board to power on the video card..but enough to boot everything but the VC and cd dives >..< put a new 1 in, started up liek a charm, also my pc would start until i plugged the audio wires for the port jacks on ym cae...pretty fuxed up man...
