Basic 3 Rax Opening
Solid, average Terran opening for bio-heavy (mariner/marauder) army composition.

Explained in very layman's terms.

Build log in the video's description. No commentary.
____________________________________________________

1-1-1 Build
This build is the build order you wanna take for higher tech units. The video describes just one way to do it, but there exists many variations. When you find a strategy you like, you can manipulate the 1-1-1 build to cater to your needs.

Other strategies you may want to look into (or for, in videos)

Quick Expansion
Hellion Harass
Banshee Harass
Reaper Harass
Drops via Medivacs

Also....if you're curious on more Terran strategies that are a bit more advanced, remember to check out Day9's channel for vids with deeper analysis. Look for videos with the player "TheLittleOne". He also goes by LiquidTLO if you want to Youtube him. He's a very creative terran player from Germany. Probably the most famous terran player on SC2 right now that I know of.

When watching terran replays....besides build orders, try to pay attention to "unit compositions". This is one of the trademarks of an advanced player alongside APM, micro, + macro abilities. As you all may know, SC2 does have sort of rock-paper-scissors element to it. The ideology behind "unit composition" is to never have a "pure" rock, paper, scissors-based army. Instead, you rather have a mix, something like 70% rock, 20% scissors, 10% paper. Your army will be more versatile if it's mixed because it'll take more effort for your opponent to counter you than if you just had a pure 1-unit based army composition. They'll have to build more different types of buildings and units compared to just building one counter unit.

Yaa Teamliquid gots a lot. I'm too lazy to dig through their forum threads though. If you have any direct links to the strategy pages, that'd be awesome for the people viewing this page so they dun have to look around for it.

Lol, Scuzzle is a fucking reaper expert, he loves those things, I think he just likes watching them jump up and down... I as a protoss player find them quite annoying... stupid quick stalkers hinder my possible strategies so much Sad

To Gure, you may want to check out SC2 replays by a player named "MMA". He's probably the best Terran out there, followed by probably "Thorzain". MMA focuses a lot of multitasking with multi-prong base drops, so ya...work out that APM so that you can be fast enough to multi-task with Terran.

Puma just beat MC, which is the best protoss or some say the best player in the world, in a best of 7.

I haven't watched any Puma games but I heard that he is a pretty annoying terran with harassment. Although MMA was pretty funny with his games vs Idra where he killed his own CC by mistake and ended up winning cause that threw Idra off.

Hehe that MMA vs Idra matchup was pretty awesome. I'll have to watch that Puma v MC matchup when I can. Always nice to see MC lose once in a while since he's so pompous, lol. I was having a discussion with a SC1/SC2 player bud of mine and was talking about how Korean SC2 players would compare to SC1 players and found out that SC2 korean players are, in short, the inferior SC1 players, lol. Not to say they don't have talent, which they have loads of, but most of them are people who haven't had great success in SC1 or past their prime (i.e. Nada and Boxer). It just makes me wonder how the top SC1 players like Flash would do in SC2. According to my bud who constantly keeps up with SC1 + SC2 pro matches, it'd just be a complete annihilation, lol. XD

Since I just managed to find Flash's Teamliquid's bio, I just thought, wouldn't it be cool if Axis and Allies players had some "serious" style bios on our notable regulars too? If there were, what would you guys classify your style as? Others?

Yeah, there's a full 13 hour stream I can look for and give you the link if you want. Husky and day9 co-casted with other casters on this event. Didn't watch all of it, I skipped around untill I saw names like Kiwikaki and puma etc...

Yeah MC was frowning just like a kid, and puma was scared he didn't even go to the end of the line to get his prize until everyone pointed it to him lol. If flash starts playing SC2 I will nerd all over the floor, it will be messy. Even though I didn't even see him play SC1 ever.

Also I heard in SC1 you have to box/click stuff individually. So no hotkeys, or minimal use of hotkeys, very hard.

Plus why do all Korean players have the same hairstyle? lol

LOL! I love that Day9 video of why he hated Sen. (For you who don't get the joke, watch the beginning of this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CEa8jhFZqg)

As for all Koreans having the same hair cut, if you mean that kinda bowl hair doo, then I'd have to say that's probably accurate for like 50-60%+ of guys in Korea. At least some variation of that.

As for East Asians...at least in Japan, that's faaaaaaaar from the truth. In Japan, many guys pride themselves in having unique hair styles. If any of you guys have seen my Facebook picture, which was the origin of my nickname Sonic The Hedgehog by Jax, they have hair doos that are gravity defying like that, usually minus the absurd blue coloring though, lol. By many, I mean the guys that are out of high school. In high school, both in Japan and Korea, hair lengths + cuts are often regulated by the school.

As for Asians in American, not far from the truth to assume that most asians have that kind of shaved head, or crew cut hair doo. We're too white washed to care about our hair, lol. Not unusual to hear a guy spending at least 40 mins on his hair, lol.

I'm surprised you got that joke lol.

Yeah in Japan they have amazing hairstyles, it's just like a manga or anime Very Happy
They like copying their favorite character, and really who doesn't? My dream is to live there, in a village, and be a ninja, that shoots lazers, from his nipples, but only at a full moon, no homo. Embarassed
