In case anyone wants to get better at Starcraft 2, or just wants to see some high level replays through which they can learn from, I've posted some links below of some of the main video channels I usually stream. Hopefully those vids should help you before the game is released in a few days. =)
High Definition 1080p vids
-Commentaries are aimed towards newcomers so everything is explained thoroughly in layman's terms.

Advanced Analysis
-Analytical commentaries are done over high level replays. The terms they describe are a bit more technical and advanced.

King of the Beta Tournament
-A recent tournament with renowned beta players. Pretty interesting watch. =)

Hope that helps anyone who's curious about Starcraft 2. And until the game comes out, enjoy the agonizing wait, lol. I know Scuzzle will be, haha. |

Got a copy last night. Finally.
Working myself through the campaigns. You could say the SC II has been upgraded alot since SC.
I understand from the vids that there are alot of elements to consider playing this online.
Is there chatroom or is just link through buddies to catch a friendly game? |

I believe SC2 does have a chat room in its online mode, Battlenet. Most of the times when I find games, I take one of 2 routes.
Ladder Games
Just select the match up type (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4) and then the computer auto-finds players around my rank and auto start the game without a staging area.
Custom Games (where there's no real team balancing)
-I just view the list of maps
-Select the map I want to play on
-Wait in staging until the game is filled with players and launches (like Axis and Allies)
Haven't gotten the game yet myself so Scuzz might be able to validate what I said and help u out some.
But ya....online play is a different beast you could say. Just like it campaign and multiplayer mode was for Axis and Allies, except a bit more complex. But the complexity is what makes the multiplayer fascinating. =) |
