I've spent the last 2.5 years developing a site that has given me an excuse to focus on three
interests of mine... Axis and Allies RTS, WW2, and learning coding...
Well here it is:
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/
| Quote: |
Mission Statement: www.axis-and-allies.com is a community fansite for the
Axis and Allies PC Real Time Strategy game. We hope to provide players, new
and old, with a wealth of Axis and Allies related content and information;
as well as a friendly place for the entire A&A community to gather and
sound off, in a polite way of course. We've done our best to breakdown
every relevant aspect of the game, and have related forum threads so that
YOU can contribute to this growing online Axis and Allies RTS reference.
Maybe you might even learn something yourself.. If you've played the game
the last 5 years, or only the last 5 days, we think we have something to
offer everyone... |
Really to much content to list or absorb in a single visit.. But heres the
major areas:
A&A Encyclopedia (450+ terms)
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/encyclopedia-list-3.html
A&A Basic Strategy
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/basic-strategy-rts-ww2.html
A&A Cities
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/cities-city-strategy-rts-ww2.html
A&A Economy
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/economy.html
A&A Oil and Ammo
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/oil-and-ammo.html
A&A Terrain
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/terrain.html
A&A Keyboard Shortcuts
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/keyboard-shortcuts-micro-control.html
A&A Infantry

A&A Airborne
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/airborne.html
A&A Mechanized HQ
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/halftrack.html
A&A Armor
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/armor.html
A&A Airpower
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/airpower.html
A&A Special Ops
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/special-operations-ops-ww2-rts-pc-game.html
A&A Upgrades
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/upgrades.html
A&A Generals
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/generals.html
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/germany-generals-ww2-rts.html
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/great-britian-generals-ww2-rts.html
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/japan-generals-ww2-rts.html
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/russia-generals-ww2-rts.html
as well as a 17 page guide to military tactics in A&A
http://www.axis-and-allies.com/military-tactics.html
Yes, I know, I'm out of my mind... lol... and that's the short list. So on the brink of A&A's 5th B-Day, here's to five great years and hopefully at least five more to come |

the site makes me wanna get back into web site graphics, i know ive tried be4 to make themes, i just couldnt get that stupid off site setup working, i know you said i could also do it directly on the site. Seeing as though uploading/deleting images over and over again prob. uses alot of bandwith or w/e so prob. not the best idea right? Id be willing to give the off site setup you gave me another try but you gotta walk me through it |

@ ameliker9
the modding tutorial is a great idea. lets not do it in the forums though, I'll activate a module that will allow you to create reference docs. maybe today but not sure I have a headache like a motherfucker
@ ColonelMustang
cool with me... the XAMPP setup is kinda complicated and I guess if you just theme-ing it's not really needed. Bandwidth is really only an issue with the size of the header image, trying to stay under 50kb since it has to load on every page. Well have to get your ftp access config'd but shouldnt need to do anything else..
@ LaMo_CaRwAsH
oh theres a few things i can't seem to do, get rich quick, quit smoking, and some others that are top secret
and thx for the kind words |

no problems, some programs arent entirely compatible with it yet, which is understandable, but all my games run flawlessly...except ana which i dont really play anymore. It plays for about an hour then crashes.
But you dont have to manually download drivers, it automatically finds them and then updates which is pretty cool.
It still has UAC (User Authorization Control) which is kind of annoying but can be easily turned off in control panel. |

You should work on a link to download the actual game. Just upload your A&A folder from C:\Program Files\Atari\A&A
And it's not illegal. It would be P2P (Person to Person) which is completely legal because in essence, you are "sharing" . |

lol, your joking right? just because it's p2p doesn't mean you can "share" copyrighted material. These all violate copyright law.
* Copying and sharing images, music, movies, television shows or other copyrighted material through the use of P2P technology.
* Purchasing a CD or DVD and then making copies for others.
* Downloading anything of which you don't already own a copy (software, MP3s, movies, television shows, etc.). |
