Broken videocard?

I got red dots on my screeen when i boot em PC. LAter on when the windows Xp screeen loading its greeen dots. THen when its done loaded BLACK !!! ! I got a XFX 8800 GTX XXX <----- cool huh ?

I think its a grafic card related problem, test em both ports with diffrent screens so it isnt the screen. ANy clues ideas or sader storys would help. YES indeed i would like to hear about someones house burning down with wife pc and dog couse it would help me feel betta.

Well to diagnose if card fucked u need either to install spare one of lesser power requirements to eliminate board or port defect or try your card in another PC. if card works in another system and u tried different card in your own PC then look into latest update you made to your system, roll back to last known working configuration and maybe reset bios settings to default. Lenghtly process of elimination but most lickly graphics card fucked.

I dont have teh time realy fixing my pc. I will take care of it sometime next week ór so whne i think i have time. I will try trubleshoting then, iam not sure can use that card but will look at it aswell. Might be esier and cheaper buying a new one though. I dont knowthe cost shipping it to sweden. Well thx anyhow!!!

if you get weird colors even before windows boots, like the POST screen or the Logo Display, its mostly likely an issue with the video card, or a part that is connected to it., does your mobo have an on-board video card? try that
