Computer Problem

Ok, well. First I'd like to say I have a HP Pavilion a1102n

My computer's problem is that, I turn it on, and it shows the blue HP window. Then the screen turns BLACK, then lights up a bit (but still black) and it just stays there. For entire hours, just blackness.

The screen is ok, because I click "Adjust Brightness" and press buttons to make sure the screen is working. And it is, but the screen is black.

The first time it happened, I fixed it, and I played for one day, and the next day, BOOM, it fucked up again. Then, my sister "fixed" it by disconnecting our new printer (I dont know if that has anything to do with it) that was supposidly how she fixed it. I dont want it to happen again, so help me please.

PLEASE HELP!

sometimes my computer likes to go to the windows logo screen and freeze, but a simple reset fixes that. Try a system restore to a earlier point, if all else fails and it continues happening a complete windows re-install maybe instore....HP should have given you a factory restore disk of some sort with your computer

----Also this may be related to the SP3 issue..if you recently upgraded to that a simple system restore should fix it if you are able to boot up.
