A recent Windows update has taken out my access to EA Sports Online. EA and MS both know about the problem, but the only solution is to remove that particular update file.

I know which file to take out, and I know how to take it out, but Vista, for some reason won't let me look at my installed updates.

Here are the clicks:
Control Panel
Programs and Features
View Installed Updates

That's where it stops. It should list all the Windows updates and allow me to delete the one that is causing me the problem. It doesn't list them. The screen comes up, it goes through the file search and just stops.

I was able to do it one time before, but now I can't get a thing. Any Vista geeks out there?

Pappy, Vista is a nightmare from the security standpoint. I wont even roll it out in my domain at work. The problem might be the nasty little Vista security settings. Go to this link and follow the directions to turn off the annoying Vista security crap that does nothing anyway but cause problems. Nothing from a security standpoint will be affected and the PC will function normally. let me know if this helps.
