not entirely true, it depends ont eh hardrive size, the smaller the hardrive and the more space taken up the poorer performance, base dont he fact that its a newer pc and can play bf2 on high, i would say u got anywhere from 300-500 gb HDD. normally around 90% full is when the HDD really start to slow down and become clogged. Processor speed is also key in this, along with the onboard video card ram.

You are a nerd but don't think I agree with all that.

Load program (game), most info goes to your ram. Your video card also loads up with shit for the program too. But if your ram or video ram can't hold it all, then your comp uses hdd space to hold the over flow. Now you are using your hdd as ram. This is slow as fuck and will cause considerable lag. At this point it is not all about processor speed but hdd speed. Need something in the 10,000 rpm range to help speed things back up.

Suggestion ace, get an external hd to store all the bullshit on.

All saved files should go on external hd. If compy crashes, all your shit is safe. Music, videos, pics and yes my fav.....porn.
