TeamSpeak is a quality, scalable application which enables people to speak with one another over the Internet. TeamSpeak consists of both client and server software. The server acts as a host to multiple client connections, capable of handling literally thousands of simultaneous users. This results in an Internet based teleconferencing solution that works in a variety of applications such as team mates speaking with one another while playing their favorite online game, small businesses cutting costs on long distance charges, or for personal communication with friends and family.....(continued)
Among TeamSpeak's incredible range of features are crystal clear voice communication, Windows/Linux cross-platform design for both the client and server, a built-in web based administration panel for the server, and a highly scalable user permissions system. An added feature to Authorized TeamSpeak Host Providers (ATHPs) that wish to rent servers to their customers includes the ability to spawn multiple instances of the server from a single server session, thus easily facilitating 'server-farming'.
TeamSpeak is free of charge to non-commercial users. Please see teamspeak's FAQ for more information on licensing and terms of use. If you're new to TeamSpeak, please visit teamspeak's Getting Started page for further information.
How to connect to our Teamspeak Server, and add a bookmark:
- Open the menu 'Connection' and press 'Connect'.
- Your local addressbook is still empty but we are going to add a server here. Press your right mouse button in the white left section and click on 'Add server'. You can name the server anything you like. After that, the 'Label' shows your previous chosen name.
- Now fill in the server address in the specified field, 66.207.167.80:8960
- After that you can choose a nick in 'Nickname'. You are obligated to fill one in unless you checked the 'Allow server to assign nickname' box in which case you will get a name like 'Guest1'.
- Our server is NOT password protected so don't enter anything there, check the 'Auto-reconnect' box.
- If you have registered with the server before you can optionally fill in your username and password. Do not fill in anything if you haven't registered with the server before! If you are registered, remember to check 'Registered' and fill in some nickname!
- You may even fill in your favorite channel or sub-channel you wish to connect to.
- After that hit the 'Connect' button at the bottom. If all went well you are now connected to the server. You should see your name with a green light next to it.
